Construction Notice
Turpin Street between 9th and 10th Streets will be closed effective March 17 until completion of the Larrick Student Center/MCV Campus Recreation & Aquatic Center construction project in Summer 2009. North 9th Street will become a two-way street.

MCV Campus Recreation and Aquatic Center houses a fitness center with cardio, strength training equipment and free weights. The natatorium features a 25-meter lap pool and heated spa, with separate locker facilities. The pool has a lift for those unable to navigate steps. Informal swim, learn to swim and water exercise classes are held here. Pool rentals are available to campus groups.
The gymnasium is used for informal and intramural basketball, volleyball and badminton. There are several racquetball and squash courts in the facility. Group exercise classes are held in a multipurpose room, and a martial arts room with heavy bags is also available for use.
Groups may rent the Aquatic Center for special events. The pool, patio and adjacent green space may be used for socials, picnics and pool parties, inner tube water polo, water volleyball or other creative programs appropriate to the space.
